Tree of Life TatSaraasa Resort & Spa, Udaipur

Our lives have become so hectic that we hardly get an opportunity to spend some time for basic rejuvenation and soul searching. A mere thing like riding a bicycle, or tilling a field, or for that matter riding a bullock/horse cart or even driving a tractor in a farm would surely give us the delight of simplicity and basic essence which we all yearn for…alas we do this by just closing our eyes and imagining. Tree of Life TatSaraasa gave a deep thought to this and have come up with a resort par excellence which helps us in realizing our rustic imaginations and dreams. Just about 30 Km from the Airport, here one gets to move around the village on tractor (sporty ones can also try their hand at driving one even) and see you the homes within the villages. Visiting the fields, dirtying your hands, digging up vegetables (seasonal), and experiencing the rural lifestyle is a definite delight for those who hover in big cities driving their Ferraris and Lamborghinis..! The word 'TatSaraasa' is derived from Sanskrit and means – that which is beautiful, calm and charming. Neatly perched within the periphery of the Udaipur city on the bank of tranquil Lake Lakhawali and encompassed by divine Aravalli ranges. The Tree of Life TatSaraasa resort renders an ideal base at the resort for a soft trek through one of the villages, accompanied with villagers who carry picnic hamper while one treks the village and forest area, loosing oneself to the tranquil surrounding and divine joy.

After a long day of sightseeing, its time unwind in your room enjoying sunset by the lake, enjoying favourite channel on the 40" LCD screen before getting a great night's sleep on the signature bed offered in each of their 24 beautifully-appointed guest rooms. In-room dining is available 24 hours a day. All rooms have bottled drinking water, coffee and tea maker, and mini bar to offer. All the rooms face the tranquil lake and have a private balcony. The Bathrooms are well equipped with all modern facilities.

'Tattvam', the dining here offers some charming and exclusive options for private dining around the clock at locations in the resort. Mouthwatering delicacies served here include local Rajasthani cuisine, Gujarati delicacies, and Western Specialties perfectly made to suite one's likes and palate. One also has an option to experience a real delicious food on the banks of the lake with some private dining space, candle light to enthrall your senses with your partner. Also an enjoyable cooking demonstration is arranged at the resort followed by a private meal.

Situated at the lobby level and overlooking the lake, 'Samaa' the bar is most ideal place to be at for a coffee during the day or for enjoying some nice spirits to enliven one's spirits in the evening. Drinks and light snacks can also be served at the pool side if requested.

After a tiresome and a fully dispensed week at work, we as humans definitely need respite in form of a rejuvenation for the body, mind and soul. At 'Sparsh', the spa at the resort, one may treat oneself to traditional treatments conducted by professional therapists who suggest the best treatment to suit our need and requirement. Being pampered and rejuvenated is what you finally feel in the sunken bath with rose petals and the steam, sauna and Jacuzzi facilities. Truly mesmeric! The resort also has provision for a private hot tub (Large/small) filled with heated water and additives for hydrotherapy or sheer pleasure. This is indeed a source of immense peace.

'Rasayaana' (meaning rejuvenation of senses) is the quiet space that features meditation and yoga. Coming this far from the city hustle and bustle and not trying Rasayaana would be criminal. On request private classes can also be arranged on the lawns accentuated with a beautiful perspective of surrounding hills and the lake.

TatSaraasa also offers a large 90ft Infinity Pool with wet bed recliners and under water seats. Their infinity pool offers a beautiful view blending with the view of the lake and hills across, please feel free to use it at your convenience. A well-equipped modern gymnasium with steam and sauna is also present at the resort to keep you healthy and fit during your stay here.

One can also experience the beauty of village with the ride on a bicycle. A car and guide can be arranged by the Resort for a city tour and a shopping spree within Udaipur, which is ideally considered as shopper's paradise owing to its antiques, carpets, blue pottery, jewelry and textile.

Those who are keen ornithologists can for sure spot some wide variety of birds that include - Darter, Indian Grey Hornbill, Asian Koel (Male and Female), Hoopoe, Long Tail Shrike, Rofus Tree pie, Pied Starling, Yellow Eyed Babbler, Jungle Crow, Red breasted flycatcher etc.

 Some adjoining areas that may be visited during your stay here are – Eklingji (temple of Lord Shiva); Nathdwara (temple of Lord Krishna); Ranakpur (Famous Jain temple) and Kumbhalgarh (Fort with 36 Km wall, being second largest wall in the world after Great Wall of China).
