Jodhpur is the second largest city state of Rajasthan, one gets to witness almost all the houses based around the fort of Mehrangarh in blue color, due to which the city is even known as the "Blue City". Being a place of Princely palaces, this destination offers magnificent forts and old temples of great historic significance and relevance. The famous Mehrangarh Fort stands undaunted at 400 feet above the city, fenced by the imposing thick walls. Maharaja Gaj Singh II is the erstwhile ruler of Jodhpur. The Mehrangarh fort towers over the blue city, is one of the most atmospheric and interesting places to visit in India.
