Must Stay At

Hotel Heritage Resort, Hampi

As I child I vividly remember reading my History book in school wherein there was a chapter on Vijayanagar Kingdom. Much intrigued was I then as a child, but lately having seen the ruins of the bygone era from the pages of history, it transports me back in time and allows me to take a stroll and relive the past.

Hampi is a World Heritage Site with historical monuments narrating impressive tales of their being and also providing a spellbinding description of life during the rule of Vijayanagar Empire. Located in Karnataka, Hampi offers the quintessential art and culture, intricately depicted on the walls and pillars of these edifices which fascinate millions of art aficionados across the globe. Totting to this historical background, the stark and rugged natural set-up of this large metropolis, which was larger than Rome, will surely leave you with a sense of awe.

Tastefully designed with utmost sensibility and an eye for detail, Hotel Heritage Resort Hampi is a brand new resort spread across 9 acres of mango and coconut plantations, hence bringing you closer to nature right from step one. You cannot help but feel excited when the sunrays try hard to enter your room, negotiating the curtains dangling on the windows. As you wake up with the first rays of sun blossoming on the eyelids, you will hear a symphony of notes collectively composed by the chirping sound of various species of birds singing in a chorus. The resort is located just about 6 km from the historical site of Hampi ruins, in the village of Hosamalapanagudi.
