Taj Safaris hopes for faster growth momentum with opening of Nepal property

Taj Safaris, a division of Taj Group that owns and manages wilderness lodges, is hopeful of achieving faster growth and expansion momentum with the opening of the first jungle lodge outside India, at Chitwan National Park in Nepal. ‘Meghauli Serai’ at Chitwan National Park is the fifth jungle lodge from Taj Safaris stable, the rest being in India at places like Pench, Panna, Kanha and Bandhavgarh.

Meghauli Serai is one of the largest format lodge so far with 30 rooms. These include lavish 16 villas of 1,000 sqft space with private plunge pool in each villa. There are smaller rooms of 450 sqft and a presidential suite in the property.


AccorHotels opens Mercure Hyderabad

AccorHotels has opened Mercure Hyderabad KCP, marking the group’s fourth property and its first mid-scale brand hotel in the city. The property is a short drive from the Hyderabad airport and within close proximity to several tourist attractions, with shopping malls such as GVK, City Center, Hyderabad Central and Banjara Hills just a short walking distance away. The property features 128 well-appointed rooms, three food and beverage outlets and five contemporary meeting and banquet spaces, equipped to cater business and leisure travellers.
