Mr. Maneesh Sharma from Tappas Voyages visited Varanasi and captured the photograph of Rajendra Prasad Ghat, Varanasi.

Dr. Rajendra Prasad Ghat is one of the prominent ghats adjacent to the Dasaswamedh Ghat in Varanasi. This ghat was formely known as Ghoda (Horse) Ghat in the memory of the patron horse used in the horse-sacrifice ritual held in the 3rd century. It is also said that Kashi was the centre of selling and purchasing of horses from early Maurya period to the 19th century. The ghat was rebuilt by the government of U. P. and named after the first President of India, Dr. Rajendra Prasad. The renowned Ganga Mahotsav Festival organized by Uttar Pradesh Government is held on this ghat.
