Get ready for a roaring journey in 'Tiger Express' from October

Railway Minister Suresh Prabhu had on June 5 flagged off the inaugural run of the tiger trail circuit train from Delhi's Safdarjung station.

Indian Railways in collaboration with IRCTC proudly announces Tiger Express by Semi Luxury Tourist Train. India is known as one of the favourite place for Tiger sightings in the world. IRCTC proudly launches the departure of its new itinerary on Tiger Express by Rajdhani type Air-Conditioned train and all surface transportation by A/C vehicles.

This fascinating odyssey will cover Bandhavgarh & Kanha (Madhya Pradesh) on its Tiger Express including visit to Dhuadhar Falls of Bhedaghat / Jabalpur in 05 nights & 06 days.

The semi-luxury train is operated by Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC).

The train will be starting from Delhi and going through the Tiger corridor - Bandhavgarh and Kanha circuit. We are in talks with them (IRCTC) on how to give the travellers the best tourist experience in all thse places.

The Leela Group has signed an agreement with Qatar's Al Faisal Group for the development of a brand new luxury hotel near the Taj Mahal in Agra.

The Indian Express reports that the INR5 billion (US$75 million) project will be developed on a 2.8-hectare plot of land close to the UNESCO World Heritage-listed mausoleum. It will be a twin-branded property, comprising a Leela Palace hotel and an Aiana property.

"We will be developing a two-hotel complex with a total of 250 rooms. There will 100-room Leela Palace and 150 room - Aiana on top of a shared podium," explained Amruda Nair, joint managing director & CEO of Aiana Hotels & Resorts.
