Client Feedback

"I really enjoyed the hands-on experience of travelling with Liz in India and being welcomed into people's homes in the small rural villages, seeing their beautiful hand-work in action, and experiencing their day-to-day life.

"The accommodation was also a great experience from a tent in the desert to a spiritual palace on the Ganges. A really mind blowing experience to the senses; colour, wonderful tastes, and of course the loud honking of horns!

"Few tourists would ever have this experience."

Juliet Bain, Rotorua, 2016.

Dear Mr. Eswaran:

On behalf of we four Canadian travelers I wish to once again express our sincere thanks to you and your team for the superb way in which you organized our Indian adventure. Having had a bit of time to reflect on our journey makes us all the more appreciative. We have had a number of opportunities to tell our tales to friends and family which will no doubt spark an interest to travel to India with a number of them. We have also individually provided positive feedback to our travel agent in the hope that our comments will assist her in offering an India itinerary to some of her other clients. We look forward to sharing our experiences with many others in the weeks to come. On a personal note we very much appreciated your intervention to assure us of a late check out at the Radisson last Monday.

We wish you success in your future endeavors and rest assured that we will always remain fans and supporters of travel to India.

Sincerely,

Walter

Hi Sriganesh,

It has been a whirlwind since I came back. Much work to do and too many things to catch up on.

However, I just wanted to send you a quick note to thank you and Tappas Voyages for your wonderful hospitality, service
and support of the Jean Stilwell India group.

We are starting to get the feedback from the group, and I can say that universally everyone had a wonderful time.

I certainly had a fabulous trip, and appreciated all your efforts pre-trip, and all the support from yourself and Tappas Voyages while at destination.

Perhaps more importantly, I got to witness first-hand the work that Tappas Voyages do for Goway’s clients, and I must say
that I left very impressed and fully confident in the way that Tappas Voyages cares for our customers.

Please know that your hard work, combined with the wonderful guidance of Madan throughout the trip, left us with marvelous memories.

So... Thank you, and well done!

Best regards,

Anthony Saba

Hi Kim,

Thank you so much for organising our trip to India. It was our first Indian experience and certainly will not have been our last.

The care and attention we had from your travel agency throughout our stay was exceptional. We were looked after in such a way that we did not even have to touch our cases or check ourselves into any of our internal flights. Every representative was polite and efficient.

Our drivers were good. In fact our main driver (whom we had for 12 days)Pradeep was exceptional. As one spends so much time with one's driver it is important to have someone who is polite and easy to get along with at all times. Nothing was too much for him and he is also a very skilful driver. We felt safe at all times.

Without a shadow of a doubt the Oberoi hotels we stayed in were the best. We particularly enjoyed the Raj Villas. The service was exceptional at all times and could not be beaten. And the staff were so lovely and friendly there. They have " personal service" down to a fine art!

The worst hotel experience was in Jodhpur at the Vivanta. In fact if we could have checked out we would have done, as I believe we discussed with you at the time. Even the restaurants were poor and in fact empty, so we had to find alternative dining options outside the hotel. Breakfast was awful too. Friends of ours also did the same trip the week after us with another tour operator and had the misfortune to be placed in the Vivanta. They, however, were able to check out and move on a day earlier to their next destination without incurring any extra expense.

The remaining Taj hotels were of a good standard, particularly the Taj Lake Palace which we thoroughly enjoyed.

All our tour guides were very good. But our guide in Delhi was probably the best. He interacted with us in a way that took into account our personal interests and didn't just give us a text book version of a guide to India.

Overall we had a lovely holiday and would not hesitate in planning further Indian vacations with you. Also we would definitely recommend you to family and friends, in fact we have already done so!

Many thanks
Lynne and Aron Stein

Hi Raghav,

Good day to you! I trust all is well with you.
Peter and I are having a wonderful and we're both impressed by the care you've taken.
It has been a great introduction to India and good balance between sightseeing and other activities.
The rafting/trekking in Thekkady was amazing, the boat trip sublime. All places we've stayed at have their own charm. Maya's is no exception.
Mohan is a good driver, considerate and good company too.
Tanirikka will get a good review from us and we will recommend you to others. One friend is already interested.

Best wishes,
Geoff and Peter

Dear Jai Prakash,

I wish to express my sincere thanks to you for helping us yesterday in transferring 15 stranded clients from Varanasi to Delhi.
It was indeed a very difficult situation, your commitment and dedication to duty is exemplary. Please keep up the good work, you are an asset to the organisation.
Please accept Rs.2000/- as a token of appreciation from the company.

Kind regards,
Rakesh Singh

Varanasi – Both Mr. Ashutosh Pandey and Mr. Ajay Srivastava went to great lengths to ensure that our visit to Varanasi was exceptional.
A memory never to be forgotten.

Nilesh,

we returned from our trip to India on Saturday evening and I wanted to drop you a note on how successful it was. First and foremost the staff of Tappas Voyages and your affiliates were without exception first class. Some detail. Hotels, all were lovely, friendly and spotlessly clean. We especially loved the Oberoi in Agra and of course the Taj Palace in Mumbai. The Heritage in Jaipur was very interesting and the Leela in Goa first class. All of our 'guides' were very good and a special mention must go to VD(?) in Agra and Davindar(?) in Jaipur, both were not only great guides but great company as well. I would like to make a special mention for our driver Jasinder(?) not only a superb driver but also very friendly, knowledgable, prompt and great company on the long drives. All the connections worked very well and the sites chosen for us to see were absolutely what we wanted to see. The mobile telephone was a good idea even though I never used it. If there is one very small area for improvement it would be that the afternoon in Mumbai was a bit rushed and not as interesting as the morning certainly, but its a small complaint, the guide was lovely. So thanks for Tappas Voyages's organisation and rest assured that we will pass on your details to any of our friends who are thinking of visiting India. For ourselves we are thinkng about perhaps a trip to Kerala might be something we would want to do.

All the best ,
Hugh Logan.

"Late in 2015 I went on a tour of India with Liz Light. I loved every minute of the trip; the things we saw and the places we went to. We travelled on our own bus, with driver and a local guide, at each destination. At no stage did I feel unsafe. The accommodation we stayed at was varied and fun and I have no hesitation in recommending both Liz and her tours."

Margaret Champion, Whitianga, 2015.

"Our Textile Tour of India with Liz, in 2015, was one of the best adventures I have had.
India is such an amazing country. The people are so humble and friendly, the colours vibrant, the palaces and old buildings completely magical and the food delicious. On the downside it is noisy, crowded (1.2 billion people), untidy and chaotic.

The main purpose of our visit was to study beautiful Indian textiles including silk weaving, intricate embroidery, block-printing and hand-woven carpets. The quality of these was breath-taking and it was all wonderfully researched by Liz.

Along the way we stayed in a variety of interesting accommodation including a tented community in the Banni desert and a 500-year-old former palace on the banks of the river Ganges. As well as textiles we visited ancient markets including the Spice Market in Delhi, bazaars, mosques and the famous Taj Mahal in Agra.

Thank you Liz for a wonderful adventure and one that I will never forget."

"I was a little apprehensive before departing for India but once my feet touched the ground, in Bhuj, I knew that I was going to thoroughly enjoy the tour. The colours were amazing, the people were charming; so friendly, and they all wanted to make sure we had a great time. I especially enjoyed visiting the villages and seeing their beautiful textiles. The local guides were great. Harry was exceptional; he was never stuck for an answer. I particularly liked the mix of accommodation and really enjoyed the tented camp in the desert. Altogether it is a very well planned itinerary I certainly want to return to India."

Libby Fletcher, Rotorua, 2016

"I enjoyed every minute of this tour and it was about so much more than textiles.

I was a bit apprehensive about "India" and didn't know what to expect but the textiles were marvellous and so was the food, the scenery and buildings and the people. Visiting them in their villages and homes was such a privilege, as was learning about their culture and history. The interesting variety of hotels made a wonderful holiday. And even the toilets were good!

Liz, your advice to us about how to keep well and safe worked very well and I never felt nervous or vulnerable. Between you, our Indian guides, Devidas and Harry, and our navigators carefully assisting us off the bus, well, you gave us gave us a wonderful time. I am still on an India high."

"I did one of Liz's textile tours to India in 2015. I often think of Devidas, our lovely Indian guide, and how good he was to us. Meanwhile, back home, I admire my exquisite hand-crafted purchases and they bring back many happy India' memories. India certainly does get under your skin, well mine anyway!"
